Your Wealth, and What It Makes Possible
Archer and Lane is a multi-family office in Brussels. We look after the capital of a small number of families, helping them turn financial success into lasting contributions.

About Us
Our work begins with how you want your funds to be used, now and by your children. Every recommendation is explained to you in writing and reviewed against the aims you set.
A family office is judged by the decisions it helps a family make. Archer and Lane focuses on how wealth is invested and protected, as well as how it is passed on to the next generation and to the causes a family chooses to support.
Every holding in your portfolio should have a reason you could explain to your children. Costs are shown in full in your reports, and changes to your strategy are agreed with you before they are made.
A family’s values evolve over time. We help families find common ground and give each generation a voice in shaping the future.
Giving is part of the brief from the first meeting. Archer and Lane works with you to identify the causes you want to support, and the organisations best placed to help. We look for evidence that your contribution will make a measurable difference, and for organisations able to sustain that work over many years.
Each client has one senior adviser at Archer and Lane, supported by our specialists for each service. If you prefer to keep your existing banks and lawyers, we work alongside them.
Our Services
Clients use Archer and Lane for a single service or for several at once. Each piece of advice is given with your wider affairs in view.
We create an investment strategy based on your time and the risk you are prepared to accept, and we manage your portfolio within it. Assets are held with custodian banks in your name, and you receive one consolidated report across all of them.
Our tax team prepares returns for clients who reside in Belgium. For income and assets held in other countries, it works with your advisers there. Your position is reviewed each year, and again before any significant event such as the sale of a business or a move abroad.
Where a donation may qualify for tax relief in Belgium, we review the conditions with your tax advisers before it is made.
Archer and Lane advises on the purchase and sale of residential and investment real estate in Belgium and abroad. That includes arranging mortgages with banks and overseeing the management of buildings you let.
Real estate often accounts for a large share of a family's capital, and it is the hardest asset to divide between heirs. We plan with you how each home or building will pass on, and whether any part of it might serve a charitable purpose.
Archer and Lane reviews the cover you already hold and arranges new policies with insurers where it falls short. The review covers property, valuables and art, personal liability, and life insurance used in estate planning. Life insurance can give heirs the liquidity to settle taxes without selling assets.
We help you define the purpose of your giving and plan your commitment over time. We then identify organisations working in your chosen areas and assess their finances and reported impact to inform your decision.
Where a dedicated vehicle makes sense, we work with lawyers to set up and run a foundation.
Philanthropy
Altruism
We help you choose causes and look closely at the organisations working on them. Once a donation is made, we follow its progress with you over the years that follow.

Our clients trust us with their finances and with the causes they care about.
We hire people who take both seriously and handle them with discretion. If that describes you, we would be glad to hear from you.
